Fire-Retardant Acoustic Foams

Fire-retardant acoustic foams are high-performance sound-absorbing materials engineered to offer excellent flame resistance and superior acoustic insulation. Designed to perform well even under high air velocities, these foams do not wear or degrade easily. Their acoustic efficiency is enhanced by their surface structures—commonly manufactured in egg-crate, pyramid, or labyrinth patterns to increase sound absorption across a broad frequency range.

These flame-resistant acoustic insulation foams are made from polyurethane and are widely used in environments where both sound control and fire safety are critical. Common applications include generator rooms, compressor enclosures, industrial machinery housings, and HVAC duct systems—where they act as sound dampeners and contribute to overall acoustic regulation.

Fire-retardant acoustic foams provide maximum sound absorption in high-frequency and mid-frequency ranges. When combined with other soundproofing materials—such as PVC barriers or lead sheets—they deliver even greater sound isolation performance. Due to their excellent thermal and acoustic properties, they are also frequently used in the automotive and home appliance industries for insulating engine or motor compartments.
